Beginning Quilt Class...SUCCESS!!!

I am so excited about how well the beginning quilt class went this weekend!  We have had fun at all the sessions and I have met some really wonderfully fun women, but this weekend...they actually were finishing their quilts and it was awesome!!!

Everyone's quilts were/are so wonderfully different.  Here is the one I did...

Here is one my students made...

I will share more pics when I get them in...this is one other one, but don't have the finished product pic yet...

These are brilliant looking quilts! It's so much fun to teach and share something you are obviously so good at - you are a wonderful inspiration!

How satisfying it must have been to finish their quilts that they had worked so diligently on. An ex-boyfriend had an ex that made him a beautiful quilt, it was the only thing I didn't want him to get rid of.

Absolutely stunning! I did some small quilts when the kids were infants but nothing as intricate as these. There is a lot of work in there...gorgeous!

The first one is my favourite. Love the colours. My nan used to quilt. It is soo much work. She made a quilt for me and it is my prized possession :)

My grandma used to sit and quilt all the time (in fact I have one of her quilts). What a wonderful skill to keep alive!

Beautiful quilts! And how fun to express your creativity through this medium - plus, if you give them as gifts, what a lifetime memory for the recipient!

Making quilt tops is so satisfying.. you must be a great teacher to get so many beautiful quilts. It always amazes me how different colors reflect the same design into such beauty. You make me want to get back into making quilt tops.
