My Friend Laura's Latest Work!

I have a friend who is an amazing quilt artist!  This is a quilt if you can believe it!  She made this from some artwork that she really liked.  It is so amazing.  The vase is 3D with Trapunto work and she painted faces in the rocks in the back.  Her hair is also 3D made out of Yarn Fiber and thread painted on her shoulders.  She used many mediums for this picture and it is amazing!  What do you think?

Laura's technique moves it to a totally different artistic sphere, doesn't it? What a joy to see the results of someone's unbridled creativity!

Thank you all so much! I will definitely tell my friend about all you wonderful comments here. I don't think she has a website, but I should probably help her with that huh?

That quilt is definitely a piece of artwork. It takes a true fabric artist to be able to transform a painting into fabric art. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
