I had a great weekend! Since I am working hard on my quilts I have to be longarmed and all the preparations to open the new shop...I decided to take it easy this weekend!
I made this swoon block:
I also made this quilt I designed...I wrote it up to get to my Mom (my tester). I know it is a very simple quilt, but maybe people who just want to get something done quickly for a gift might like it...It only took me about 4hours and I was writing up the instructions as I went...
However, now it is Mon morning and back to the grind! Sometimes it is hard to be the boss (and the only employee)...I am not feeling 100% today and pushing myself to get things done! My sinuses are sore with allergies and I kinked my neck by sleeping wrong last night. The good news is that there is always lots to do! Not feeling up to longarming...spending today taking care of paperwork...got my permit for my new location and made this snazzy flyer for quilt guild tonight!
Did it two to a page to save paper and money : D... I'll keep you posted on the progress!!

That swoon block is beautiful.. is it your own design?
Such beautiful quilts! I can see how passionate you are about creating them...make sure you take time to take care of yourself, too, Liz!
Congrats on your new shop. Will be fun to work with all the quilts. Wishing you lots of success!
Beautiful! I wish I could quilt. I appreciate you sharing your talent and work.
The greatest challenge of being an entrepreneur is being able to go from task to task, putting on one hat after the other. And doing it with the same enthusiasm! But as soon as the business is carrying you financially, it'll become a piece of cake. (Or you'll hire someone to do the ones you like least!) Good luck!
